How did Chris Moore first become interested in photography? As a child. “I was always sort of interested in photography. When I was about 12 or 11, my sister had a Leica and she was taking photographs and developing films and I got really hooked on that... I basically got into it by accident. I’ve become a great believer in fate. I went for a job when I was very young, 16 or 17, at a place just off Fleet Street. I was ushered in, not really knowing what I was doing. And I was shown into a photographic studio… and that was it.” A renowned catwalk photographer for over forty years, he first went to Pairs to cover the couture shows on the suggestion of his wife, documenting the collections of designers from Yves Saint Laurent to Pierre Cardin and Balmain at their private presentations before becoming a full time catwalk photographer with the launch of the pret-a-porter collections. His images first showcased in a plethora of newspapers and print publications continue to inspire awe even in this new post-internet age.
