November Books

November Books

Obsessed with books. That’s probably a fair precis of Paul Lawrence, the young bookseller who runs November Books, a second-hand store that specializes in rare tomes about youth, subculture and counterculture – spanning the worlds of fashion, art, design and photography. But actually, maybe we should say it’s less an obsession with the physical books themselves, more the act of discovering them, archiving them and then directing them towards a place on the shelves of one of his many devoted clients. Because, as he tells us, he doesn’t own many himself – just a small collection of his very favourites, only those with very personal meanings – preferring instead to pass his books on to those with more use for them. Which is fine with us. For November Books, Lawrence travels the world – from Japan to a street corner on Paris – to find rare treasures to bring back, catalogue, and eventually share with the world. Now you can find a handpicked selection of his most treasured books right here on 10curates.com.
